Lake County Visitor’s Bureau

LCVB_main_logo_mobi.jpgThe Lake County Visitors Bureau is a countywide, independent, non-profit destination marketing agency. The Bureau is funded, not by local taxes, but by visitors through a three per cent Lake County hotel/motel occupancy tax. Mentor also benefits from visitors by adding a three per cent hotel occupancy tax on hotels in Mentor which is dedicated to their general revenue operations.

The Bureau markets Lake County to out of county residents, promoting attractions, hotels, special events, and arts and culture funding. The Bureau also serves as a visitor inquiry center, providing tourism information in person and via phone calls and e mails. Visitor guides, calendar of events, maps and additional literature are available at the bureau’s office located in a Classic Park street level office.

Visitors spent $534 million in Lake County in 2009 generating $17 million in taxes. The Bureau encourages residents and companies to join as dues paying members, advertise in our visitor guide and facilities guide and sign up for our monthly e news letter.
